Planet of the Apps

Research & Insights...

Explored how spatial organization and 3D interaction could improve app discoverability while maintaining clarity and usability within a mobile interface.

Ideation...

Early sketches and spatial studies tested how applications could be arranged on and within a spherical form, focusing on hierarchy, navigation, and visual balance.

Development...

The concept was developed in Blender using procedural distribution methods, including vertex instancing and Geometry Nodes, to evenly place app icons across the sphere.

Final Outcome...

A three-dimensional home screen concept that uses rotation, zoom, and spatial interaction to create an immersive yet structured navigation experience.

Digital Notepad

Research & Insight...

Identified a gap between the freedom of natural handwriting, such as not being able to rest hand on glass screen notepad and the limitations of existing digital note-taking apps, particularly around tactile feel and personal privacy.

Ideation...

Early sketches explored interface layouts, writing tools, and navigation systems that preserved the familiarity of paper while introducing digital flexibility and control.

Development...

The concept was refined through material and feature decisions, including an E-ink display with a glass overlay, stylus docking, and integrated privacy mechanisms to support both usability and security.

Final Outcome

A digital notepad concept that combines the tactile familiarity of handwriting with modern digital functionality, featuring intuitive navigation, adjustable writing tools, stylus integration, and page-level privacy protection.

Smart Stencil

Research & Insight

Explored how everyday creative tools could be enhanced through subtle technology, focusing on preventing workflow interruptions while maintaining the familiarity of analog objects.

Ideation

Early concepts reimagined the stencil as a smart companion, testing how indicators, materials, and form could integrate technology without disrupting intuitive use.

Development

The design was refined through material and system decisions, including a matte polycarbonate body, silicone eraser inspired by stylus materials, an embedded glass display for battery indication, and magnetic attachment for seamless integration with the digital notepad.

Final Outcome

A smart stencil concept that elevates a familiar tool through intuitive power feedback, premium materials, and ecosystem-based functionality, reinforcing a cohesive digital and physical creative experience.
